Financial Services Associate

Our client is seeking an experienced, customer focused professional who is eager to learn and grow into a financial planning / wealth management professional. As a Financial Associate, you will manage client portfolios and act as the primary contact for investors.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the activities of the Financial Consultant.

  • Review client portfolios for compliance and growth opportunities.

  • Manage client portfolios, making changes and updates as required.

  • Prepare documentation and process trades.

  • Build and maintain client relationships – develop stewardship process and ensure client services are complete.

  • Continuously research industry trends and statistics to provide accurate information.

  • Stay well-informed of new information, opportunities and legislation related to investment planning, home ownership, retirement planning, tax planning, business, and insurance.

  • Respond to client questions and needs, inform them of changes and opportunities.

  • Maintain CRM records accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Demonstrates ability to work autonomously with confidence. Works effectively without direct supervision or guidance.

Qualifications:

  • 2 - 4 years of experience working in a financial administration or investments role.

  • Possession of a CFP designation or eligibility to qualify may be considered an asset.

  • Experience working in a client focused, wealth management / finance industry.

  • Post-secondary training in Business Administration, Finance or related area.

  • Formal training in banking, finance, investment funds or life insurance will be considered an asset.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Intermediate skills in Word, Excel (must know formulas and how to format), and PowerPoint.

  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy especially with typing and data input.
