Communications Manager

Our well respected, Edmonton based client with provincial reach is seeking a strategic Communications Manager. You know that the best content provides true value to your clients. Your content is driven by data collected from clients and will help them create positive experiences for their customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Works collaboratively with internal partners to create content and communications that are valuable for clients and effectively deliver key messaging.

  • Researches and analyses market trends, member/customer data, survey data, competitor offerings to evaluate, develop, and deliver content that is relevant and valuable to clients and stakeholders.

  • Researches organizational products & services, and industry needs to become a subject matter expert and confidently produce unique content.

  • Lead annual communications planning in alignment with strategic and business plan and budget.

  • Develop, execute and measure the effectiveness of communications using print, digital and social channels as well as in-person meetings and events to engage, advocate, and generate revenue.

  • Create content through newsletters, web content, press releases, blog, social media, videos and print marketing on an ongoing and continuous basis.

  • Identify and distill key messages for a wide variety of audiences through multiple channels.

  • Assist in the planning, logistics and coordination of events.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in business, marketing or related field.

  • 3 - 5 Years of content creation, marketing, communications, and / or public relations.

  • Demonstrated competency with a range of communications platforms: website content management software and supporting software, e-newsletter programs, design programs, digital media and databases.

  • Demonstrated experience in writing and editing, proof-reading, designing reader-responsive communication, story telling and media relations.

  • A story teller, confident in creating evidence-based narratives to communicate information.
