Territory Sales Representative

Our client, a leader in commercial roofing, is looking for a highly motivated Territory Sales Representative. The successful candidate will be a results oriented, energetic and eager sales professional, seeking to develop their sales acumen and grow and develop with the help of a mentor and coach. This candidate will be inspired and eager to learn!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise in roofing/building envelope materials and services through sales, inspections, and investigations and studying provincial and federal codes, laws and regulatory requirements.

  • Drive new business development and maintain relationships with current clients.

  • Provide product knowledge and increase demand through demonstrations, presentations, product trials, tradeshows and conventions.

  • Develop and write proposals / quotations in response to RFP’s and to meet existing customer needs.

  • Maintain knowledge of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends.

  • Analyze territory market potential, opportunities, threats, and competition to establish goals and market opportunities.

  • Coordinate with other departments as required for marketing, logistics, and administrative requirements.

  • Maintain and report financials and budget regularly.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in business, sales, marketing, or related field may be considered an asset.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).

  • 1 – 5 years of sales experience.

  • Able to push / pull / lift 60lbs routinely and climb ladders.

  • Fall Arrest / Fall Pro may be considered an asset (successful candidate will be required to obtain).

  • Valid Driver’s License (non GDL) and clean drivers abstract.

  • A natural people-person, able to de-escalate confrontational situations and able to maintain objectivity and professionalism in all situations with a customer focus.

  • Well organized with exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • A resourceful, results-oriented problem solver.
