Warehouse Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to organize and direct the daily operations of their Edmonton facility for a one-year contract with possibility of extension. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for schedules, order accuracy, productivity, inventory and facility maintenance. They will oversee the operations and training of personnel in both shipping and receiving. This position is highly responsible, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage and dispatching of products and management of the Digital Production area.


  • Manages and maintains customer pickups.

  • Schedule Warehouse and Production personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to select and receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner.

  • Direct day-to-day activities of the Warehouse and Digital production teams. Such activities include shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, inventory control, digital production flow etc..

  • Manage staffing and hire temporary workers as necessary to ensure daily duties are completed.

  • Coordinate with the Inventory Supervisor as to out-of-stocks, receiving errors, selection errors, and warehouse slotting of products.

  • Manage budget to obtain objectives and division goals.

  • Maintain warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and all necessary repairs done by tech department.

  • Ensure that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution and production functions.

  • Develop employees through selecting, orienting, coaching and motivating employees; providing constructive feedback and disciplinary action when required.


  • Five or more years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing setting preferably managing a warehouse.

  • Strong understanding of warehouse functions, procedures, and standards.

  • Knowledge of quality control standards and systems.

  • Knowledge of inventory management.

  • Able to lift 30 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs regularly.

  • Knowledge of compliance issues relating to the warehousing function.

  • $50,000

  • 2 Weeks vacation
